se spune că Dumnezeu lucrează prin oameni...
cu siguranță, părintele Albu este unul dintre ei...
pe orice calendar creștin poți vedea că ziua de Ajun de Crăciun este post și ajun...
astăzi a fost duminică, mâine este Ajunul Crăciunului...
când la finalul slujbei, părintele Albu a amintit de ziua de post și ajun de mâine, a făcut o precizare:
postul, ajunul de mâine, să îl dedici cuiva... fă-l pentru cineva... spune un nume pentru care te rogi și faci acea jertfă...
a repetat:
nu uitați să dați un nume,
veți vedea ce putere are!
în peste 50 de ani de când merg la biserică, e prima dată când aud despre această particularitate a zilei de Ajun de Crăciun...
it's said that God works through people...
obviously, father Albu is one of them...
one can see that the Chrismas Eve is a day of fast...
but after the service, father mentioned something:
say the name who you are praying for, you are making that sacrifice...
don't forget to give a name
you will see the power!
in over 50 years since I go to church, was the first time to hear that...

în Maramureş, recent am fost la Şurdeşti, Plopiş, Coruia, Remetea Chioarului, Lăschia, Călineşti... am folosit prilejul sfinţirii de la biserică, să ajung şi în Berinţa...

have you ever been in Berinţa? I drove by, for hundreds of times, my nest is over the hill, but now I entered in the village for the first time...
In Maramureş, after Şurdeşti, Plopiş, Coruia, Remetea Chioarului, Lăschia, Călineşti, I arrived here on the occasion of the sanctifying of the works at the church...
am ştiut de câţiva ani că se face un pridvor nou la biserica din Berinţa...
aproape toate bisericile de această factură din Transilvania au primit câte un pridvor, în ultimii 50 de ani...
multe dintre ele sunt soluţii improvizate, nu sunt gândite de profesionişti, şi arată jalnic...
dar, acesta e un exemplu reuşit, se vede că e studiat, gândit... felicitări autorului, e o surpriză plăcută!
almost all the churches of this kind were extended with a porch in the last 50 years... most of them are improvisations, are not made by professionals, and don't look good... this is a good example of porch, you see it's studied, somebody qualified designed it... congratulations for the author, it's a nice surprise!
feciorii urmăresc ce se întâmplă jos, să ştie când să tragă clopotele the young men are watching what is happening around, to know when to play the bells...
bucuroşi de oaspeţi! happy to have guests!
e freamăt în sat, iar atmosfera e superbă...
ca semn de ospitalitate, toate porţile curţilor sunt deschise, cergile împodobesc gardurile, şi câte o masă gătită, cu flori, un crucifix, o iconiţă mică, un sfeşnic, te întâmpină la fiecare pas...
porţile sunt deschise şi pentru ca musafirii să poată să parcheze în curte...
una, două, cinci maşini, câte încap, sunt parcate în curţile oamenilor...
ce frumos! te simţi întâmpinat cu drag, cu braţele deschise!
aceasta a fost defapt prima surpriză plăcută...
it's quite a frenzy, the atmosphere is great... as a sign of hospitality, all the gates are opened, the carpets are dressing the fences, in every yard there is a table arranged with flowers, a cross, a small icon, a candle... the gates are opened also for guests, to can park inside the yard... one, two, five, there are as many cars as can fit in there... how nice! you feel you are welcome, with arms wide open! in fact, this was the first pleasant surprise...
ca în multe alte locuri, un monument din faţa bisericii comemorează eroii locului, din primul şi din al doilea război mondial...
am rămas surprins, chiar mişcat...
sunt mulţi... mai mulţi decât văd de obicei în satele noastre... pe faţa opusă mai e o placă, cu cei căzuţi în al doilea război...
mulţi copii, mulţi părinţi au plâns în Berinţa...
jertfa acestor bărbaţi e în seva acestui neam...
Dumnezeu să îi odihnească...
şi asta a fost o surpriză, emoţionantă...
as in many places, a monument dedicated to local heroes of the World Wars is standing in front of the church... I was surprised, even moved... there are so many... more than I used to see in such a small community... many children, many parents had weeped here in Berinţa... the sacrifice of these men is in the sap of this nation... God rest them in peace... this also was a surprise, an emotional one...
oops... asta a fost surpriza de-a dreptul şocantă...
ce contrast! nu am mai văzut nicăieri, într-o biserică, o asemenea pardoseală... parcă am fi la Hilton!
oops... this was really a shocking surprise for me... what a contrast! I never saw such a floor, in a church... looks like Hilton!
se sfinţeşte altarul nou... the new altar is sanctified...

să cunoşti fenomene artistice, istoria lor, este un lucru frumos, te îmbogăţeşte spiritual...
dar adevărata revelaţie şi valorizare a unei opere o poţi face prin studiul comparat... să vezi, să studiezi influenţele între culturi, curente, fenomene, ceea ce au comun, ceea ce au diferit, cum s-au influenţat reciproc...
încă una din surprize a fost, aici, în Berinţa, superba interferenţă a tuşei apusene în iconografia bizantină...
m-a surprins în mod plăcut această aromă mai puţin întâlnită, sau mai puţin evidentă în alte locuri...
it's a beautiful thing to know artistic matters, their history... you feel spiritually enriched... but, the genuine revelation and evaluation of an artistic work can be made in a compared study... to see, to realize influences between cultures, trends, what do they have in common, what they have different, how they influenced each other... one more surprise for me, in Berinţa, was the superb interference of the western touch, in the byzantine imagery... I was pleasingly surprised of the flavour of the paintings, more intense than in other places...
văzând aceste asocieri de stiluri, mi-am adus aminte de Nicolae Grigorescu, şi ale sale icoane de la mănăstirea Agapia... probabil, cele mai renascentiste picturi, într-un spaţiu sacru bizantin...
seeing these different styles, I remember Nicolae Grigorescu, the greatest romanian classic painter, who started by painting, in a renaissance way, in a byzantine monastery...
nelipsitele cărţi de rugăciuni şi crucifixe vechi, de patrimoniu... superb...
imediat pot face o colecţie de asemenea imagini...
the always present heritage church books and crosses... beautiful... I almost can make an album with this kind of images...
toată lumea e binevenită! everyone is welcome!

apropo de studii comparate, în portul din Ţara Chioarului se văd clar influenţele de peste munţi, din Maramureşul istoric - în acest exemplu, atât "zadiile", cât şi cămaşa, (cu acea sublimă eleganţă a broderiei "alb pe alb"), sunt de inspiraţie maramureşeană... şi aceasta e, pentru mine, o surpriză plăcută...
generations... speaking of compared studies, you can clearly can see influences from Maramureş to Chioar area... this was one more pleasant surprise...

un primar în România europeană... a mayor in the European Romania...
o biserică în România europeană... a church in European Romania...
aici sunt ruinele bisericii din secolul XVIII...
mai sus, există biserica de lemn din Cărpiniş...
câte mai sunt de văzut în Berinţa?...
here are the ruins of a XVIIIth century church... upwards, in Cărpiniş, there is a wooden church... how many more things worth seeing in Berinţa?
